Description
This one-day course is run by Surgeons and supported by Radiologists at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. In includes theoretical and practical sessions on insertion and management of chest drains and addresses requirments of the 2021 Curriculum which may be difficult to evidence in normal clinical practice.
Trainees do not need to apply for study leave from the Deanery but require local approval from their rota co-ordinator.

Trainees will be offered a place on the course before or during their Stage 2 Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia rotation to LHCH.
